The Centre is staffed by a Manager, Support Workers, Admin Assistant and a Cleaner.
A team of trained volunteers are essential to the work of the Centre and are supported by the Manager.
The Day Centre is managed by a Board of Directors.
Job Vacancies:
FULL TIME SUPPORT WORKER
SALARY: General Grade 2 – scale 10-12 - £15,035 - £15,773
We are looking for an experienced and committed support worker, with a keen interest in developing support services for the elderly. Specifically someone with the drive to develop positive experiences of mental well being; to nurture self esteem and confidence; to reduce barriers to isolation; and to help manage depression.
You will be a highly motivated, enthusiastic and caring individual with good verbal and written communication skills. You will be qualified in SVQ2 in Social Care or equivalent. Experience of working with the elderly will be an advantage.

Volunteer Vacancies:

We are currently looking to recruit the following:
Volunteer Escort - working alongside the community bus driver escorting our Service Users to and from the Day Centre
General Volunteer - assist with meals and refreshments, helping with activities and outings
Board Member - must be available to attend monthly evening meetings, reading of board papers & be involved in making decisions for the future of St. David's
